<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">A few weeks ago, on 27th of January, for the International Remembrance Day, we explained to our kids what it meant to have the strict order to stay at home, without being able to go out except at scheduled times, with the ban on meeting people and gathering in public, even in those places which have always been considered public, as are cafes and parks.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We spoke about the restriction related to activities of any kind, except for the supply of basic necessities and basic production, but only during the allowed hours.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We remembered the queues in front of the few shops that remained open.</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; text-align: justify;">We explained how Institutional cars passed on the streets, warning from loudspeakers not to leave the house, as doing so was at own risk of death.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We explained how there was an obligation to always carry a document certifying the condition of need to exit, which was chosen from a few given options (health, supply, essential production).</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We explained that there was still the possibility of being stopped and controlled and sanctioned according to the interpretation of the gendarme.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">We remind that there was a time when people lived in the fear of having to continually justify oneself simply for being alive, wanting to support the community, or living nearness and sharing. </span></div>

From the whole to the parts and from the parts to the whole, in a continuous game of relationships, inter-relationships and correlations in which every moment says something about the group, of the group and its components.</span></div>

<span style="font-kerning: none;">Living the experience of the groups is always a state of being in which the position of care opens to a multiplication, a sum of individualities that are made up in the group's discourse.</span></div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">It is an experience of separation, a self-parrying and parrying in front of oneself and the self of the other components, helping to define a discourse of shared desire in which one parries and appears in the group mirroring in an ever-changing and new dimension, always creative and generative. The separation which allow the meet-up is built as a establishment, arranging what has an identity of meaning, setting up a separate space, a part of space in which the individual mixes his experience in the commonality of sharing.</span><br />
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-kerning: none;">Sometimes it happens that the climate, the environmental and individual zeitgeist, the current weather leads to the sharing of particular moments that become peculiar and unique. The experience of silence can be one of these.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-kerning: none;">On a silent and almost spring afternoon, before meeting a group I have been working for a few years and that continuously gives gifts of growth and new internal alchemy, during a walk I find myself attracted to a bookshop, or better to say, from a window of an old library a little out of time. You can see the books piled up and arranged to cover all the interior, leaving a showcase full of semi-empty spaces in which titles and colors can be glimpsed from outside. I almost sneak in, called by one of these books, which I buy and take with me on my silent walk, before stopping at a cafe. Before the group-work session, there were still time for a cup of coffee, a cigarette and a look of the book, which, opened at random, gives me words that I perceive precious.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-kerning: none;">The group-work session unfolds in the following hours, as a space in which silence has its own significant.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-kerning: none;">A particular silence, which the group manages to share in its narrative description.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-kerning: none;">A silence that is like a listening space of the internal world of the group and its components, a group space on the group whose participants silently authorize themselves to set up a free space that becomes a ritual to welcome and comprehend also fatigue and suffering. A silence that allows to feel the time, which becomes an almost concrete quality in its flow, allowing the luxury of calmness in the face of the emergence of everyday life and of the daily emergencies. A calm that helps to contain the disorder, almost a defense of the group against everything there is to say, a precious protection waiting for a path on which the discourse can take its place in the alchemy of the meeting right direction, and which can be shared and traveled together, giving space, hospitality and dignity to all the nuances brought by the participants.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 14px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-kerning: none;">This particular dimension is what I call the "speaking silence", a silence that is loaded with that suspension from the didactic concreteness that sets a space which, in the merging of the thoughts, expectations and desires of the participants, allows the articulation of the speech and desire of the group.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;">While thanking the group for sharing this unexpected dimension, the words which I read in Eugenio Borgna's book “La saggezza” a bit earlier appeared in all their meaning.</span><br />

The wonder of the words is that, in the passage from one speaker to another, everyone appropriates it.</div>

It is words and language that open up to the mystery of what happens and how the relations are structured. Words tell stories, speak to us, and raise a veil over the person who places himself or herself in front of the other.</div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">In front of a sunny and windy winter day, when walking on a long sandy beach with the backwash furiously slamming and splashing handfuls of foam into the air, some will probably enjoy the magnificence; some will be talking with a friend and communicating emotions with a call; others might take pictures to be shared on socials; taking selfish-selfies for posting, while some might prefer to move to a cafe and enjoy a warm drink.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Most probably, no one will think of counting the grains of sand to give a representation of the scenario or to measure the dimension of what's the activity, whatever it might be.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">This is just a metaphor of what culture is. Something everyone faces till early-age, in which every one grows up, shaping the identity and accompany individuals into their evolution and journey through life.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Culture is an highly-nuanced, multidimensional and dynamic concept.</span></div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Culture refers to the whole picture: it is the whole set of behaviours and meanings which have been developed by humans though the passing time with their own environment, and which passes from a generation to another.</span></div>
<div lang="en-GB" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">As the environments change, the culture follows becoming characteristic of a given area in a certain time defining a specific society. There have been time in the history of humanity when these changes have been more or less slow or fast and traumatic.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">The recent migration fluxes and the societal changes obviously accelerate the need to confront on what cultures are, how they can integrate, what professionals should keep in mind when delivering educational, learning and communicational products.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">CIT4VET project enlightens that culture effects on learning and communication preferences as well as on the setting of the learning environment. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span lang="en-GB">This means that the personal cultural background is recognisable on both sides: on the trainers’ side in the way trainings are delivered and on the participants’ side in the way they expect a training to be</span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span lang="en-GB">. This inducts the need to consider there are different values, communication styles and expectations.</span></span></span></div>

Barna, 1991), which comprehends the assumption of similarities, the language differences, the variety of non-verbal misinterpretations, the usage of preconceptions and stereotypes, the tendency to evaluate, the level of stress and anxiety under-present in the relational field.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The last day of the Healthnic workshop saw an all-day final working session where participants developed their Digital Storytelling videos on the values, meanings and possibilities offered by setting food and healthy diet as a common ground to facilitate mutual recognition, respect, dignity and integration.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Participants started with a sharing session on the lessons-learnt during the previous days, focusing on the individual competences and awareness around food, pleasure in learning, cooking and tasting new recipes, self-n-mutual recognition as part of community made of human, each with its personal stories, values, tradition, preferred flavors and memories.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">After some group-work sessions, up to five Digital Storytelling videos have been created, and later the first one which has been finalized was presented in the very final moments of the day. All the videos will be available shortly on the Healthnic platform.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">These days have been an intense and moving experience, and with the colleagues from Diciannove I want to deeply thank all the participants for the enthusiasm and the warm feeling of belonging that we shared. Food, health, individual stories allowed us to break all the borders and share a deep and a releasing feel of belonging.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The 3rd day of the Healthnic workshop is dedicated to deepen how an healthy diet, both on daily and weekly basis, can be enriched in term of variety and taste from the use of local products. We ask to local farmers and community-based organizations to present their work, specifically concerning the how-to empower local farmers. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">We focus on the connection between the re-discover of local traditional and healthy ingredients, the strengthen of local community, the economical positive feedback of a healthy and wealthy territory, the benefit of a balanced diet, the re-interpretation of traditional recipes dedicated to the fundamental re-use of alimentar left-overs. After these debates and share, we all cooked together, combining left-overs with potatoes from the mountains producers, ending up in a tasty dinner with 5 different colorful version of the traditional "gnocchi" (potato dumpling).</span></div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">Despite a terrible rain-storm, the atmosphere was warm at the first day of the healthic workshop held by Diciannove in Torre Pellice (To).</span></div>
<a name='more'></a> After introducing the rules of the workshop in term of respect, dignity and equality of all participants, the day was dedicated to build up a community climax through some icebreakers and sociometric games. We started to familiarize between a variety of origins, which included Mali, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Guinea, Torino, Pinerolo, Sardinia, Benevento, Bussoleno and Genoa.<br />

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">We shared some preferred recipes, then cooked and eat together to taste the flavor of the territory. Because as Jean Brunhes said, “When it comes to eating, territories have to be incorporated”.</span></div>

These training materials on PCM represent the evolution of the original concept that I created with Federica Cadeddu some years ago, and which I used in various consultancies with private and public bodies in the Italian scenario. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The modules have been firstly implemented with my colleagues in Diciannove, then we tested them on our staff during a collective LTTA training event. Following the precise evaluation conducted by Dave Oborne from EEC, we re-worked them in order to maximize their efficacy. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The modules were then divided among Diciannove, Danmar Computers, Cardet, EEC, University of Thessaly, KEA: some slides were refreshed; others were modified; practical tips and suggestions were incorporated; notes were added to each slide to make them even more specific and exhaustive. Then it came the time for the final testing by the students of the University of Thessaly. The last stage was run by Danmar Computers, who edited and refined them to be ready for the IT environment in the form you now see.</div>

The training module slides are composed of two parts: the body (focusing on key-points) and the associated notes (which give more details, explanations and tips).</div>

The body of the slides is in English to promote the knowledge of the terminology and glossary from the perspective of an EU Commission. The notes are translated into partner languages to provide a more effective understanding of the major points in the slides.</div>

The participants were conducted to the discovering of the basic principles of project cycle management.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">To get familiar with its principles, the participants were asked to remember their younger time, and to work in sub-group to answer the question "how to make a party when you were 16?". Participants were guided to the creation of a fictitious planning which passed through all the pcm phases: definition of the purposes for the party (background analysis and programming); invitation (creation of the partnership and identification); planning (preparation and formulation); cost evaluation (cost/benefit analysis, financing and budgeting); the party itself (implementation); evaluation of the impact after a given period (evaluation).</span></div>

There are weekly publications of new videos produced by the partners during the workshops held in the different partner countries. Meanwhile, the group is working on to implement the toolkit: it will all the practical component & operational suggestions that was experienced & shared during the Eu workshops</li>
<li>"<b><a href="http://generativity.eu/" target="_blank">Generativity</a></b>": the new project begun to take its first steps. After the opening meeting held in Turin with the presentation of the <b><a href="http://generativity.eu/portfolio-generativity/0-partnership/" target="_blank">partnership</a></b> and of the different phases of work and the corresponding allocation of mandates & operational responsibilities, the partners have begun to implementation of the project. The platform's beta version is already available with the presentation of what we intend to be <b><a href="http://generativity.eu/what-is-generativity/" target="_blank">generative</a>;</b> over the next few weeks the platform will be enriched with contributions & news</li>
<li>"Ideas2016" was a challenge that we decided to revive: about 15 years ago I was invited to a workshop on project-development in Bruxelles. Together with friends & colleagues of <a href="http://19.coop/en/" target="_blank">Diciannove</a> & <a href="https://danmar-computers.com.pl/en/" target="_blank">Danmar</a>, we decided to pay homage to Dave, who had invited us years ago & made us met. Now it was our time to be generative & recreate a working group to develop projects for the upcoming years. The results of the ideas2016 workshop in Turin were significant: 19 participants, representing 14 companies from 12 Eu countries, who presented, discussed & developed almost 20 new projects. A huge thanks to those who continue to assume sharing & co-production as the basis for their ethics, pragmatic & operational of their professional acting.</li>
